I have recently purchase a new Black Lab puppy, 9 weeks old now. I have helped train others gun dogs but this is my first solo attempt. I am looking to meet some people with experience training gun dogs, or at the very least make some contacts where I can get dead or live birds and feathers for training with. After years of respecting your club and the training you do and leashing my dog also stay away from the areas when practicing. I have ask member not to fire the guns off as some dog that visit the wet lands have issues with gun shots mine being one of them and it takes week to get him back to normal.
I understand the use of them when testing. A sign should be posted any time guns will be used.
If the club does not want to do anything about this I will take it to a much higher level.
