By | June 15, 2015

The following protocol governs the privilege of training on Fraser Valley Retriever Training Club grounds.

  1. When classes are in session at OTS, the 8th Ave.  gate can be shut, but not locked.
    • When there are no classes, the gate must be locked behind you.
  2. OTS will occasionally train their students on the club’s property.  As OTS is our neighbour and club supporter please respect their access.  When driving past operators, protocol is to make eye contact before proceeding to ensure safety.
  3. Parking is permitted in the four corners of the property.
  4. Only FVRTC members may train on the grounds and only when a member of the executive is present.
  5. Dogs can only be aired in the designated areas.  Roadways should be cleared if your dog airs there.
  6. All dogs must be under control at all times.
  7. Training must take place between 8 am and 8 pm and discretion should be used during early morning and late evening training.
  8. Discretion should be used regarding the use of birds and e-collars in the case of an observer coming onto the grounds.
  9. Humane treatment of dogs is absolutely essential.  Abusive treatment of dogs will not be tolerated.
  10. The grounds are to be left cleaner than you found them.  This means that you  clean up after yourself and pick up any other litter you see.

  12. Speed limit on the grounds is DEAD SLOW!
  13. During high fire risk, appropriate safety measures will be taken.
